My first foray into blogging was fun, though it felt aimless. It didn’t begin that way, but evolved into a ramble, enjoyable for me, but perhaps not so much for the reader. So in round two, I will try to have a point, a structure, a word count more amenable to those who read blogs. I read blogs to learn something and many successful blogs are venues for disseminating useful information. They are kind of the modern day version of the British Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge that used to put out maps of London in the early 1800s. Not being terribly practical, but having over 25 years of teaching experience, I am drawn to this approach to blogging, but am not certain I have any useful knowledge to offer, except perhaps how sit and ponder life around me and then scribble (or tap if I’m at my laptop). I can also keep plants alive in the desert.
